DJI has become known for its Phantom quadcopters and has continuously developed the product. The Phantom 2 Vision Plus raises the bar once again. The proven Phantom 2 quadcopter features an upgraded camera, the Vision Plus, which is equipped with a stabilizing brushless gimbal, enabling shake-free aerial shots. With an aperture of 2.8 and a field of view of 110°, the 1/2.3" 14-megapixel sensor captures photos with a resolution of 4384x3288 in Adobe DNG RAW and records videos in Full HD 1080p30 or 720p60. Data is stored on a replaceable micro SD card.

The enlarged battery offers up to 25 minutes of flight time with its 5200mAh capacity. A WiFi FPV downlink to a smartphone is also integrated, allowing images and video data from the Phantom to be transmitted directly to the smartphone. Additionally, telemetry data such as altitude, distance, and orientation is transmitted. The WiFi repeater on the remote control helps achieve a distance of up to 700 meters.

The new firmware of the copter provides enhanced safety features, automatically returning the copter when it loses radio signal. There are also new no-fly zones that take into account restricted flight areas and are matched with the quadcopter's GPS.

The optimized and self-tightening propellers improve the drone's flight characteristics. GPS and gyroscope assist during flight and help maintain position, making it suitable for beginners as well as ambitious professionals.
