This is a cup anemometer (wind meter) from DFRobot. The unit measures wind speeds from 0-32.4m/s and then transmits them via RS485 connection. The shells and arms are made of aluminium and have been sprayed with a protective lacquer. This allows the unit to be used in any weather.
