The Readyrails™ static rail kit for 2U systems such as the PowerEdge R720 allows for tool-less support for racks with square holes and four posts or non-threaded round holes, including all generations of Dell racks. Additionally, tool-supported installation in racks with four posts and threaded holes in the rack rail, as well as with two posts (Telco), is possible, making the options versatile. The static rails support a wider range of racks than sliding rails but do not allow for in-rack maintenance and are therefore compatible with cable management. The static rail kit does not include screws; threaded hole racks are equipped with different thread types. Users must provide their own screws to secure the static rails in racks with threaded holes or two posts. This product has been tested and verified for use with Dell systems. When using the product with a Dell system, Dell technical support is available.
