Many causes of recording or reading errors are temporary in nature and can be resolved by cleaning the tape drive. Regular cleaning of the tape drive contributes to long-lasting reliability and should be performed at certain intervals as well as upon the drive's request. Cleaning with the cassette 440-10494 is done using a dry method without flammable materials and results in a clean recording head gap after each use. The cassette is specifically designed for use with all LTO Ultrium tape drives. This product has been tested and verified for use with Dell systems. If you use the product with a Dell system, Dell technical support is available.
