Deek-Robot DK Relay Shield V1.3 XBee Kit
ShieldProduct details
This relay shield features 4 relays, each capable of switching up to 70W.
The relays are controlled by an Arduino and powered by an external 9V power source. The shield can also be remotely controlled via the XBee socket.
The shield is delivered as a kit. However, assembly is very simple since the SMD components are pre-soldered. Of course, all necessary parts and components are included in the package.
Important: When using this shield, be sure to avoid any short circuits between the shield and the USB port of the Arduino!
Features:
- Compatible with Arduino Duemilanove, UNO, Mega, Leonardo
- 4 mechanical brand relays from Songle
- 4 additional mounting holes
- Remotely controllable via XBEE
Connections / Pins:
- 4 connection groups for relay voltage:
- COMx - Common pin
- NCx - Normally Closed (when Dx is Low, NCx is connected to COMx; not connected when Dx is High)
- NOx - Normally Open (when Dx is Low, NOx is not connected to COMx; connected when Dx is High)
- 9V DC connection (power supply for relays)
- This connection is also available as a terminal block on the board
- IO Pins:
- D0 to D4 are connected to Arduino pins 7-4, allowing the 4 relays to be controlled with a simple digitalWrite.
- XBee Interface:
- Allows the shield to be remotely controlled with an optional XBee/RFBee module. This is done directly with the 4 DIO ports of the XBEE module and does not require an Arduino on the relay side.
