Deek-Robot DK PN532 NFC/RFID Mini breakout board
Various, Receiver, ChannelsProduct details
Breakout board with integrated antenna and the popular PN532 NFC chip. The PN532 is the most widely used NFC chip and is found in many devices such as smartphones. It has all the essential features like reading and writing tags and cards, communicating with phones (for example, for payment transactions), and can also act as an NFC tag. In short, it is suitable for all NFC-related tasks.
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a transmission standard for the contactless exchange of data via radio technology over short distances of a few centimeters and a maximum data transfer rate of 424 kBit/s. It is an extension of RFID – everything that can be done with RFID can also be achieved with NFC.
Since the PN532 can read and write tags, it can be used for RFID tag projects. We offer various tags in our range, and the PN532 works with all NFC/RFID types 1 to 4 as well as all NXP MiFare tags. To help you get started right away, we include an RFID card and two keys for free with the breakout board.
The PN532 is also very flexible. It can be used with 3.3V TTL serial at a popular baud rate or communicate via I2C or SPI. The IC is also supported by libnfc, allowing it to be controlled directly from a Windows/Mac/Linux computer using an FTDI cable.
