Clairefontaine selects the leather as carefully as the paper, for which Clairefontaine has been famous for 160 years. The vegetable tanning process uses mimosa and quebracho extracts and is produced with ecological considerations, free from chromium and arsenic. It is made from real, soft lamb leather in premium quality for a pleasant feel.
