The Cisco IP Phone 7821 is a two-line handset designed for information workers and managers. This phone is ideal for customers who currently use traditional analogue or digital phones but want to move to IP telephony, as well as for organisations looking to extend their voice communications investment by leveraging Cisco Unified Communications.
The superior user experience is enhanced by four context-sensitive soft keys and a white backlit display measuring 3.5 inches (89 millimetres), offering high-resolution graphics and greyscale, with a resolution of 396 x 162 pixels.
Other features and capabilities of the 7821 phone that contribute to an exceptional user experience include dedicated hard keys for common functions such as conference, messaging and directory, as well as a two-way navigation key. It offers end-to-end wideband audio performance (G.722) through the handset, headset and speaker for superior clarity, as well as electronic hookswitch control for added flexibility when managing personal calls with third-party headsets.
Ease of management is a key feature of the 7821 phone, with attributes such as 3rd Party Call Control (3PCC), Power over Ethernet (PoE) Class 1 endpoint and Cisco EnergyWise to reduce energy costs and carbon footprint. It offers enhanced customisation options with a field-replaceable bezel, an integrated IEEE 10/100 switch to support traffic from a co-located PC to reduce cable infrastructure costs and a wall-mount option for common areas such as hallways or corridors, or where desk space is limited.
