The integrated signal converter in the sender of the cable transforms the electrical HDMI signal from the source into light pulses, which are transmitted via the fiber optic cable to the receiver, where they are converted back into an electrical HDMI signal. Thanks to the optical transmission, external interference from radio radiation or magnetic fields is eliminated. The cable has dimensions similar to a classic HDMI cable and does not take up more space on the connector side. The conversion technology is fully integrated into the connectors.
