The barrel and features of the ballpoint pen are made of metal. One of the special characteristics of the 849 series is its hexagonal shape. The pens fit comfortably in the hand and provide high writing comfort even over extended periods.

Like most "Swiss Made" ballpoint pens from Caran d’Ache, all 849 pens in the Popline collection are equipped with the legendary Goliath giant cartridge, which can write up to 600 DIN A4 pages. Its steel tip contains a tungsten carbide ball that ensures a clear and clean writing experience.
