The compact single-mount design makes it easy to quickly set up the camera for professional 180° stereoscopic VR shooting with compatible high-resolution full-frame RF mount cameras such as the EOS R5 and R5 C.
Thanks to the 190° stereoscopic field of view, two circular fisheye images with offset are perfectly synchronised and recorded side-by-side on a single full-frame sensor, allowing them to be processed for final editing in EOS VR Utility or the Canon plug-in without additional image stitching.
Compatible RAW video files captured with supported cameras (including the LT 8K/60P RAW files of the EOS R5 C) are automatically processed in EOS VR Utility, further simplifying the RAW workflow at higher frame rates.
The RF 5.2 mm F2.8 L DUAL FISHEYE lens is equipped with two perfectly aligned fisheye front elements and features two UD elements per lens to correct aberrations as well as Canon's special SWC coating, which reduces ghosting and flare effects even in backlit conditions.
The RF 5.2mm F2.8 L DUAL FISHEYE lens offers exceptional performance in low light conditions thanks to a maximum aperture of F2.8, precise synchronised exposure and precise control through the electromagnetic double diaphragm (EMD).
