Product details
BuildTak Polyetherimide (PEI) print bed sheets are made from high-quality Ultem 1000 PEI. As a comparable alternative to the BuildTak Original 3D printing surface, BuildTak PEI has slightly different adhesion and release properties that vary depending on the material being printed. In general, BuildTak PEI allows for easier removal of finished prints, while BuildTak Original provides stronger adhesion during printing. When used with the BuildTak FlexPlate system, multiple FlexPlates can be easily swapped between the BuildTak Original and BuildTak PEI printing surfaces, depending on the material being printed. For example, polycarbonate requires the extra strong adhesion of BuildTak to successfully complete prints, while PEI should be used for PETG due to its easier removal capabilities.
