Product details
Upgrade your extruder to a Bondtech Mini Geared with a higher gear ratio of 3:1, allowing for extra push force and higher resolution. Use a lightweight extruder that enables your 3D printer to print faster or achieve better surface quality. Decrease the risk of heat creep to avoid clogs and improve filament feeding, preventing slipping and deformation that can cause under and over-extrusion issues.
This is a Bondtech upgrade for the popular Prusa I3 MK3S and MK2.5S, enabling the use of the acclaimed Mosquito hotends. This kit contains the necessary parts to convert your current extruder to our popular design based on the Bondtech Mini Geared (BMG) extruder with a 3:1 gearing ratio for better precision and resolution, along with optimized geometry for heatsink cooling and a professional SLS 3D printed housing.
Main features of this extruder upgrade include:
- Adapted to fit Prusa’s new filament sensor and Mosquito hotends
- Includes one Bondtech BMG extruder with a 3:1 gearing ratio
- Optimized geometry for heatsink cooling
- Reduced moving weight to minimize vibration and ghosting
- Professional SLS 3D printed housing and three other key parts
This upgrade kit is similar to the previous MK3S, with the main difference being its design to fit the Mosquito and Mosquito Magnum hotends. Other design changes include:
- Optimization of the cooling air channel to focus airflow on the Mosquito’s heatsink, with a narrower channel
- A tighter space to hold the hotend in place during nozzle changes, allowing for single-handed nozzle changes
- A redesigned fan shroud to fit the Mosquito hotends.
