Product details

The BMS 4599ND dual diaphragm driver features two identical, concentrically arranged 3.5" ring membranes with a shared 2" exit opening, delivering exceptionally high sound performance.

The patented design of the BMS 4599ND is the result of intensive and consistent research and development efforts, allowing for significantly improved efficiency and higher sound pressure levels with dynamic impulse behavior and outstanding transparency. Compared to a driver with a single voice coil, the dual diaphragm driver concept with dual voice coils offers a sound pressure level that is 6 dB higher.

With its two large, ring-shaped membranes, the BMS 4599ND covers a frequency range from 200 Hz to 9000 Hz and impresses with a pleasant, linear reproduction behavior. The membrane excursion of up to +/-0.8 mm ensures high output power and load capacity of up to 2600 W (Peak).

The unique voice coil concept is based on an inner and outer wound Kapton coil carrier with high-purity copper wire, which provides better heat dissipation and thus significantly higher sound performance and reliability of the driver with reduced compression losses.

For optimal amplifier performance, the voice coils can be driven in parallel, series, or independently. This allows for both single-channel operation at 4, 8, or 16 Ohms and dual-channel operation at 2 x 4 Ohms or 2 x 8 Ohms.

Additionally, the use of high-quality neodymium magnets improves the speaker's reproduction behavior while significantly reducing weight.
