Maintenance-free supercapacitors ensure extremely high cycle stability and short charging times. Thanks to the intelligent power-sharing, the source does not need to be oversized to charge the supercapacitors. Additionally, the UPSIC-1205D features active reverse polarity protection, a power-fail signal via a relay contact, and free software with a timer function. The integrated reboot function allows the system to restart when the input voltage returns during shutdown or at another time. The startup function can be activated via the BIOS when input voltage is present. Furthermore, a dip switch can be set to ensure that the UPS output is only enabled when the capacitors have reached over 90% of their charge. The operation of the UPS at the host is also possible without software.
