Overview

PET-G (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-modified) is a thermoplastic polyester plastic that is characterised by a good balance of tensile strength and elongation at break. Its high resistance to water and chemicals makes it the material of choice for waterproof containers and protective covers. PET-G is a versatile technical material that can be printed as easily as PLA, but offers a better balance of mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties.

Technical Information:
Good balance of strength and ductility. PET-G parts are as strong as those made from PLA, but offer a better mechanical profile. PET-G is not brittle, meaning it does not break abruptly when pulled or bent. On the contrary, it bends and stretches gradually until it reaches its maximum elongation limit of 23%.

Resistant to chemicals and moisture. PET-G is highly resistant to chemicals and moisture, allowing for disinfection and cleaning without compromising its mechanical properties when exposed to alcoholic solutions.
