Bambu Lab PLA Silk

Bambu PLA Silk is characterized by a silky, extremely glossy surface that gives your prints a luxurious appearance. Compared to other filaments with a silk-like texture, Bambu PLA Silk has been hardened, resulting in increased breaking strength during printing and making it particularly suitable for decorations, artistic projects, and 3D character models.

The gloss intensity of the model printed with silk material can be controlled by adjusting the printing temperature and speed. For a glossier surface, higher printing temperatures and/or lower speeds are recommended.

Recommended print settings:

• Nozzle temperature: 210 - 240°C
• Heating bed temperature: 35 - 45°C
• Print speed: < 250 mm/s
• Drying settings: 55°C for 8 hours
• Storage at < 20% RH

• Density: 1.32 g/cm³
• Vicat softening temperature: 56°C
• Heat deflection temperature: 53°C
• Melting temperature: 152°C
• Melt index: 20.5 ± 1.2 g/10 min

Mechanical properties:

• Tensile strength: 35 ± 3 MPa
• Elongation at break: 3.5 ± 0.6%
• Flexural modulus: 2220 ± 90 MPa
• Flexural strength: 77 ± 3 MPa
• Impact strength: 24.5 ± 1.7 kJ/m².
