Bambu PLA Aero has a low density and lightweight characteristics, as it expands during the printing process at high temperatures, creating small cavities inside the printed objects. These properties make it an excellent choice for prints that need to be lightweight and energy-efficient, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, aerodynamic models, and gliders. The foamy texture of PLA Aero requires specific considerations for material drying and print parameter settings. It is important to thoroughly read the guidelines for processing aircraft models with foamy PLA before starting the printing process.

Bambu PLA Aero has a similar filament density to conventional PLA, but the print density ranges from only 50% to 80%. You can reduce the density of the printed objects by increasing the print temperature and decreasing the flow rate. Unlike pre-foamed Wood PLA, Bambu PLA Aero and the objects printed from it are more robust and resistant to impacts, collisions, and falls.

Bambu PLA Aero features an effortlessly dyeable matte surface texture that provides better coloring results compared to PLA Basic.
