Product details
Hum in audio systems is usually caused by ground loops within the system. A common-mode current flows in a grounding loop created by an electrical system that has grounds at different voltage potentials. This results in a 50 Hz hum in the audio signal. The most common method to resolve these issues is an audio isolation transformer like the TR2070, which should always be accessible to every audio technician. When ground loop problems occur, they can be quickly resolved with the TR2070.
