Product details

In March 2016, the Atomos Ninja Flame 4K Recorder was released, changing the landscape for many cameramen. It is the first field recorder that allows for quicker and better assessment of images even during outdoor shoots. Every cameraman is responsible for their image and its quality, which is why the choice should be the 7-inch monitor and field recorder Atomos Ninja Flame 4K. The focus has shifted from seeking ever higher resolution to achieving greater dynamic range that aligns with human vision. The Atomos Ninja Flame replaces its predecessor, the Atomos Ninja Assassin, offering not just an update but much more. With four times the brightness on the display and the AtomHDR engine, this recorder is the best choice for DSLR cameras and camcorders with HDMI output. Atomos has taken into account and implemented the wishes of its customers in this monitor-field recorder.

On the Atomos Ninja Flame 4K monitor, filmmakers can directly assess exposure, focus, and framing. Atomos ensured that all log formats from camera manufacturers such as Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Arri, Red, and JVC are supported during development. There are no differences in functionality between the Atomos Ninja Flame and the Shogun Flame. All familiar features such as RGB, waveform, vectorscopes, peaking, and zebra are present. Recording in 4K or HD in Apple ProRes 10-Bit 4:2:2 as well as Avid DNxHR or DNxHD on a standard SSD card is standard. The only difference between the two monitor-field recorders lies in the connections. The Atomos Ninja Flame is equipped with an HDMI port, while the Shogun Flame additionally offers SDI sockets for bidirectional SDI/HDMI conversion and a balanced XLR audio input plus LTC/Genlock.
