The VA249HE has a high 178° viewing angle, minimizing color shifts on both the horizontal and vertical planes. This enables high quality images from almost any direction.

The VA249HE improves contrast and image sharpness by dynamically adjusting the backlight to the lighting conditions. With a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a brightness of 250cd/m², it achieves a very good black level and excellent white reproduction for particularly lifelike images.

With the integration of some patented technologies into the ASUS-VA249HE series, we have raised the bar to offer you a vivid, authentic image. The VA249HE supports the new SplendidPlus function - Video Intelligence technology optimises picture quality and video playback by analysing the individual pixels of a full screen. This allows brightness, contrast, sharpness and colour reproduction to be optimally adjusted. SplendidPlus has two new modes. Reading and darkroom mode, in addition to landscape, standard, theatre, sRGB and night modes. The so-called Low Blue Light and Flicker Free (flicker-free) technologies also reduce eye strain over longer periods of use.
