The casing of the SP3000T Copper is made of over 99.98% pure copper with an additional multi-layer coating that ensures the beautiful color and noble shine are maintained without special care. Copper is known for its excellent sound transmission and resonance properties, giving the SP3000T Copper a particularly beautiful tonal quality and a high level of detail. The Astell&Kern SP3000T is a unique fusion of analog charm and digital precision. At the heart of the SP3000T are two vintage vacuum tubes, which are part of an innovative triple-amp system. This system, originally introduced with the SP2000T in 2021, allows users to customize their listening experience by choosing between tube amplification, digital amplification, or a mix of both according to their personal preferences. The tube amplifier technology of the SP3000T produces a warm and inviting sound reminiscent of classic tube amplifiers. This is complemented by a specially designed operational amplifier that has been optimized over the years for Astell&Kern digital audio players, characterized by crystal-clear playback, minimal noise, and dynamic sound. The hybrid amplifier mode leverages the strengths of both worlds to create a new sound quality that combines fine analog nuances with the precision of digital output. A standout feature of the SP3000T is the strict separation of digital and analog signal paths, made possible by the use of AKM's latest high-end DAC, the AK4499EX, in combination with the AK4191EQ, a dedicated digital delta-sigma modulator. This innovative architecture results in a unique sound purity by minimizing digital noise. The operation of the SP3000T is ensured by a Snapdragon 6125 octa-core processor and 8GB of DDR4 RAM, providing smooth and fast operation.
