Silk Cord Strap with Ring (S) The silk camera strap is the brand's iconic flagship product, developed from silk obijime, a popular, high-quality decoration for Japanese clothing. The strap is made using the kumi-himo technique, in which a special double structure is woven onto the outer layer of an eight-ply cord, providing just the right amount of elasticity, sturdiness and comfort against the skin. The flexibility of the supple silk cord allows for different ways of wearing, such as wrapping the hand or adjusting the length by tying knots. The white, hand-stitched reinforcement in the centre of the leather fastening is an iconic design feature of our brand. In this revised model, the material of the ring for attachment to the camera has been changed from brass to stainless steel. This improves manoeuvrability and reduces fingertip strain when attaching and detaching the strap from the camera. In addition, the foil-stamped logo print has been refined using a new printing technique. Finally, the leather of the fastening is smoother and the camera protection flap has been redesigned. The strap is available in two lengths; this is the shorter version that can be worn around the neck or shoulder. Please note that this is a ring-shaped strap for cameras with eyelets. It is not compatible with strap cameras with eyelets. Made in Japan.
