Additional innovative refinements include vacuum metallization of silver or copper. Silver, bronze, copper, and blue finishes are produced using an innovative and sustainable metal vacuum coating process. From an environmental perspective, sputtering is the cleanest coating technology for the type of metal used, as it avoids all emissions, particularly those of sulfuric acid and cyanides that are released into the atmosphere through galvanic processes. For the subsequent protective clear coat phase, a solid lacquer with a solvent content of up to 5% (compared to 75% in conventional products) is used. The process generates very little waste, and the resulting surface is particularly durable over time. In each of these cases, the glass finish is designed to ensure an optimal ratio to the emitted light by shielding the light source and maximizing direct emission through transparency.
