Artemide Dalù

Dalù Table Lamp. A reissued gem from the 1960s by Italian designer Vico Magistretti for Artemide: a half-sphere and a sixth-sphere that merge seamlessly despite the strict geometric construction. This curved shape is made possible by the chosen injection molding process of the thermoplastic material. Artemide offers the design classic Dalù Table Lamp in both transparent and colored plastic. The light emitted at a reading-friendly angle serves its purpose, but especially in the transparent versions, the shimmering casing quickly distracts from the reading experience; the light source to be used becomes part of the construction (E 14 socket, max. 25 W incandescent bulb or 18 W Halogen Eco bulb). If the Dalù Table Lamp is used as a bedside lamp, it is advisable to choose the colored and thus light-shielding variant, where the lamp socket discreetly disappears under an opaque cover.
