The SMC1500I-2U in a rackmount design offers a capacity of 1500 VA with a maximum output power of 900 watts. In the event of a power outage, the device ensures independent power supply for 8 to 30 minutes (at 100%/50% load). Its LCD display continuously shows important parameters such as operating mode and efficiency, voltage, frequency, and energy consumption. A clear menu provides intuitive operation of all device functions. For management via computer, a USB and a serial RS-232 interface are available. The sealed lead-acid battery with gelled electrolyte is completely maintenance-free. The UPS calculates the expected battery life and detects premature aging through regular battery tests. The voltage applied during the charging process is adjusted to the battery temperature, allowing for particularly gentle charging, which positively affects the lifespan.
