Users can set custom alarm thresholds; warnings about potential circuit overloads are displayed in real-time on the device and can be sent to remote systems. Metered Rack PDUs provide data on energy consumption, enabling data center managers to make informed decisions about load distribution and the proper sizing of IT environments, ultimately reducing overall operating costs. The devices come with numerous features and characteristics: monitoring of active power, connections for temperature and humidity sensors, locking IEC outlets, and ultra-slim circuit breakers. Configuration of the Metered Rack PDUs is done via a secure web connection as well as SNMP or Telnet interfaces.
