After years of observing the market, Alphacool addresses a well-known issue with the Eiszapfen PRO Hardtube fittings: temperatures just above 60 °C can deform PETG hard tubes. This particularly affects the connections at the outputs of the CPU or graphics card water coolers. The Eiszapfen PRO Hardtube fitting is compatible with all hard tubes that have a 13 mm outer diameter and works with PETG, acrylic, brass, and glass tubes. Additionally, the tensile strength is very high. Tests showed that 8 kg posed no problem.

For a secure hold, the fitting features an O-ring and a compression seal. The insert and compression seal are arranged in such a way that they build up high pressure on the hard tubes from both the inside and outside. With this insert, the installation process changes. First, the nut is slid onto the hard tube, followed by the compression seal. Then, the insert is placed on. Finally, the fitting is screwed on as usual.
