The Alphacool Ice Layer, like other thermal pads, can compensate for the unevenness of heatsinks and the components to be cooled. However, it has a significant feature: the Ice Layer is made of thermal paste with an embedded fabric. This results in the performance of these pads being significantly more efficient than that of standard thermal pads, regardless of the low W/mK value. Additionally, it achieves better distribution and filling between surfaces, leading to improved air displacement. Its soft consistency also means there is no pressure on components or solder joints. Nvidia also uses this type of pad for the Founders Edition. The Ice Layer can be easily cut to the desired size and applied to heatsinks without slipping. As a fundamental component or spare part, thermal pads belong in every well-organized computer DIY workspace!
