Product details

Since its market launch in 1993, the proven C3000 B has been indispensable both in the studio and on stage. The revised C3000 combines time-tested microphone technology with modern AKG design and road-ready finish. It is therefore perfect for demanding microphone tasks in the studio and the rough conditions of live performances, offering an attractive price-performance ratio.

The C3000 features a cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. In addition to low-noise electronics and high overload resistance, it has an integrated capsule suspension that prevents mechanical vibrations from being transmitted through the cable and stand. An integrated windscreen effectively suppresses wind noise and plosive sounds. The switchable 10 dB pad increases the maximum sound pressure level by 10 dB, allowing for the recording of very loud instruments such as brass instruments and guitar amplifiers.

The bass roll-off switch activates at 500 Hz with a drop of 6 dB/octave, compensating for the proximity effect in close-miking situations.

Summary:
Gold-plated 1" large diaphragm capsule with patented edge-suspended back-plate technology | Integrated windscreen | Carefully designed circuitry for minimal distortion at high sound pressures | Switchable pad | Bass roll-off filter.
