Akasa AK-HC-05U3BK Internal 6-Port USB 3.0 Card Reader - black
SATA, USB 2.0Product details
Very versatile and extremely fast card reader from Akasa, thanks to USB 3.0 connectivity, capable of reading and writing six different common card formats. Additionally, the AK-HC-05BKV2 allows for the connection of four USB 2.0 devices and even two super-fast USB 3.0 drives to the motherboard via the front of the case. An eSATA port rounds out the rich interface offerings.
The AK-HC-05BKV2 multipanel, featuring a brushed aluminum front, is designed to fit into a free 5.25-inch bay of the case. Internally, it connects to the motherboard via a free USB 2.0 header and a SATA port. The two USB 3.0 ports are also connected through an internal header. The card reader connection is made via a cable with an external USB 3.0 port, which may need to be routed out of the case.
Additionally, a 4-pin Molex connector must be connected to the power supply, as this provides the necessary power. The USB 2.0 slots only require one header, so no additional motherboard connections are blocked.
