In MIDI signal transmission, only three pins are used in the classic 5-pin connectors. This led to the idea of equipping these devices with less sensitive TRS (balanced) jacks, as they also utilize three pins. To connect devices with the traditional MIDI 5-pin interface to the new devices with jacks, we now offer adapter cables with both 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm jacks. The MIDI Association has established the new standard with the TRS/MIDI Type A, which we naturally comply with. The cables are available in various lengths.
