Product details

Do you have a USB logic analyzer, a multimeter, or an oscilloscope and are struggling with the frustration of a common ground? The younger generation, known for being electrical engineers, wisely sang: "You have to keep them isolated!" Power and signal isolation improves common-mode voltage, increases noise suppression, and allows the operation of two circuits at different voltage levels.

This handy, small, and affordable USB isolator is exactly what you need to provide protection against harmful noise, ground loops, surges, and interference. It works with any 1.5 Mbps (low speed) or 12 Mbps (full speed) USB device. Not suitable for high-speed USB devices often used for video cameras (check your product to ensure it is low or fully compatible). Based on USB isolators from Analog Devices.

It is especially useful when combined with USB test instruments, as you need to separate or isolate your grounding (from the USB port to the wall socket) from your high-voltage circuit for accident protection or the need for floating ground. The best part is that this USB isolator even has its own isolated 5V power supply that can deliver 100 mA! Protect your computer or laptop by using one of these isolators between your ports.
