Product details

The Pro Trinket LiIon/LiPoly Backpack Add-On from Adafruit is a compact electronics module specifically designed for use with the Pro Trinket. It allows for easy integration of LiPoly or LiIon batteries into portable projects. Instead of connecting multiple boards for a charging system, this small PCB plugs directly onto the Pro Trinket. It provides a user-friendly solution to automatically charge the battery via the Pro Trinket's USB port. When the USB cable is unplugged, the module seamlessly switches to using the rechargeable battery. The backpack is ideal for the 3.3V Pro Trinket but can also be used with the 5V Pro Trinket, with the battery supplying a voltage of about 4V. Two built-in LEDs indicate the battery's charge status, further simplifying handling. The module can easily be equipped with a switch to control the power supply.

  • Easy integration of LiPoly/LiIon batteries into projects
  • Automatic charging function via the USB port
  • Compatible with 3.3V and 5V Pro Trinket
  • LED indicators for charge status (red for charging, green for full)
  • Optional extension with an On/Off switch.
