Product details
Most microprocessors have an ADC (Analog to Digital
converter), but mostly no DAC (Digital to Analog Converter).
Thanks to the new MCP4725 Breakout Board this is now easy
to be retrofitted.
The application is very simple: Transfer the desired value with I2C to the
Send board, the analog value is already available with VOUT. Suitable
very good for e.g. audio projects, where PWM does not support the
desired accuracy can be achieved.
The ADDR pin is led out, so that two of these breakouts on the
on the same bus. Included in delivery is also a 6-pin header
for breadboard included. The board is full of 3.3V and 5V logic
compatible.
With Fast Mode I2C (3.4Mbps) the update rate is 200Khz. Through
an embedded eprom, the last analog value is stored even after a
Power loss stored. The output voltage is proportional to the
input voltage, i.e. at 3.3V 0V - 3.3V is output, at 5V
according 0V - 5V
The connection is very simple: VCC (3V-5V) and GND are connected,
SDA to I2C Data (Arduino Pin A4), SCL to I2C Clock (Arduino Pin A5)
and the output to VOUT.
