You're too cool for I2C, and SPI has so many wires, 8-bit parallel... how can that be in style!? You're a 1-wire girl and want more 1-wire breaks in your life to complement all your great tech. Well, keep rocking because here you have a 1-wire controller with two open-drain GPIOs.

You can connect as many DS2413 devices to a single I/O line as you want; each one is uniquely addressable and happily shares the single I/O pin. The two controllable I/O lines (PIOA and PIOB) can be used as inputs or outputs. They are open-drain, so if you want to drive an LED or something similar, you'll need an external pull-up.

We have a basic Arduino sketch that uses the OneWire library to communicate with this chip. Don't forget to add a 4.7k ohm resistor from the I/O to the power supply of your 1-wire controller (3.3V - 5V) on the Arduino side of the wires.
