Product details

Enhance your robotics with the powerful Adafruit DRV8871 motor driver breakout board. This motor driver features many great specifications that make it useful for a variety of mechatronics. In particular, the easy current limiting with resistor adjustment and automatic PWM support make it very simple to use with almost any brushed DC motor.

You can set the current limit using an external resistor Rlim. By default, Adafruit solders in a 30K resistor for a current limit of about 2A. However, you can remove this resistor and/or solder a different resistor to change the resistance and adjust the limit.

Each order comes with a fully assembled and tested motor driver breakout, two 2-pin terminal blocks, and a small pin header strip. Some light soldering is required to attach the header and terminal blocks, but it is a straightforward task that can be done with basic soldering equipment.
