The batteries must not be charged above a voltage of 4.2 volts, as this poses a risk of fire and explosion. It is advantageous to charge the batteries only up to about 4.1 volts, as this significantly increases their lifespan or the number of charge cycles (potentially up to doubling). Only lithium-ion chargers should be used for charging.
