Absima Sherpa

The CR3.4 Sherpa is a high-end scale crawler with features that are exceptional for an RTR vehicle. It boasts a realistically designed 5 mm CNC-machined aluminum chassis with a heavy-duty aluminum four-link suspension system. Oil-filled shock absorbers with internal springs, 5 mm piston rods, and shock boots provide a silky smooth and realistic response. Portal axles not only offer a greater distance from the differential housing to the ground compared to conventional axles, but they also have another significant advantage. In traditional crawlers, the torque generates so much force that the vehicle can leap over obstacles. The design of the portal axles reduces the gear ratio at the wheels, effectively eliminating the torque spikes from the drivetrain. The overall gear reduction ratio of the axle gearing is more than double that of non-portal designs, allowing for a smoother operation.
