    Change shop in Tolino

My Tolino is registered for the Weltbild shop. However, Weltbild has had technical problems for some time and does not currently offer any eBooks. This means that the shop on the Tolino device is unusable. I know that the accounts can be linked and the eBooks can be purchased via the browser, e.g. from Orell Füssli. But is there a way to switch the shop on the Tolino to Orell Füssli?

    ReMarkable Tablet

I just wanted to ask if you have any plans to include the ReMarkable tablet in your range? I'd prefer it to be shipped from abroad. Taxes and warranty make that rather difficult.

    eReader diary app

Hello everyone I am looking for an eReader to use as a diary, among other things. Therefore I have the following requirements for eReader or app (priority in this order) * Good writing ability/pen * Diary/journal app with additional password so that not everyone in the family who uses it knows my most intimate secrets 😎 * Open format standard for the journal so that I can still access my writing in a few years' time when the app is no longer available or when it becomes too expensive * Export function * E-ink * Backlighting * OCR * >8 inch What do you suggest? What do you have good experience with? Thank you

    Small eReader with notes app

Hello everyone I'm looking for a small (max.7.8") eReader with pen and note app to get rid of the countless notes on my desk. As small as possible, as I don't want to carry a large "tablet" around with me all the time. If possible in black and white, not in colour. Actually a Remarkable, simply in small. Somehow I can't find anything suitable. Many thanks for your help.

    More details

Some features are important to be considered, such as: - Refresh rate, - Blue light rate, 👉 to avoid eye strain for readers, blue light protection and or "low blue light" Feature is important. Refresh rate is also priority.

Which ebook shops can be installed on the readers? Which of them are the cheapest and most comprehensive? Is Amazon the cheapest and most comprehensive anyway and should I get a Kindle?

PocketBook InkPad color 2 - Cover Flip

I can't seem to get my hands on the accessories for PocketBook's next/new e-reader, the Inkpad Color 2. It's already available on PocketBook's German site, but could Galaxus's German division import it, as is already the case for some products? Other accessories are also expected to arrive. https://pocketbook.de/de_de... https://www.galaxus.ch/fr/s1/product/pocketbook-inkpad-color-2-780-32-go-liseuse-35516414?supplier=406802

    KOBO Libra 2 Reader

I received this new KOBO Libra 2 (7"-32GB) e-reader from DIGITEC at the beginning of April 2022. Since then, after a pleasant daily use of 1.5 hours on average, I have had 5 compet lock-ups, including one today. The screen is lit on the page being read but no key is active. The only option is to let the beast turn itself off. The problem is that if the battery is fully charged, the wait easily takes 12 to 15 hours. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? As far as possible, as the device really works to my satisfaction apart from these glitches, I wouldn't like to have to change it.

Kindle 2022 (12 Gen) release date in Digitec?

Has there been any mention of when the new Kindle (i.e. the 2022 Edition or 12th Gen with USB-C) will be available at Digitec? It's been available on Amazon for a week, but I can't find an article about it or the product to buy or pre-order at Digitec.

Tolino / Amazon / why register with a bookseller?

I often read in the comments about the Tolino: -I have to enter into a contract with OrellFüssli, which is unacceptable. -I can't load EBooks on it from other providers. -My Adobe DRM does not work with my eBooks etc. . Plus some faking : . The so-called "Tolino Alliance" is an association of German booksellers and is intended as a counterweight to Amazon. https://mytolino.de/geschichte... The "contract" is just a registration (mail & password) and nothing else. With every mobile booger app you give away more data. You don't have to buy anything from OF either. You can connect to other booksellers in the settings on the Tolino. I've had a Tolino since 2013. It is registered with OF. But I buy my books from Weltbild and others because it's cheaper. These also appear directly in the Tolino Cloud after purchase and thus immediately on my reader. I can also upload Ex Libris eBooks, but I have to "temporarily load" them via the PC. I also transferred "old" eBooks from my previous reader in 2013. Condition: They must have been bought with the same Adobe login/email (even if they were bought from other providers), otherwise it doesn't work. Shuffling does not work either. . With Kindle/Amazon you really HAVE to sign a contract. Their EBooks can ONLY be read on their readers and others cannot be uploaded at all. THAT should be unacceptable. In contrast, Tolino is a very open system. . After all, the decision is a personal one: Do I support AMAZON or TOLINO. A mixture, there is only if you have both devices or both apps. That's also possible, of course. . The rights of use are a completely different matter. In general, you don't "buy" an EBook, but only the "right to read it". That is the case with all providers. The difference is that Amazon has access to your reader and sometimes deletes a book because they have problems with copyright, the book is gone and so is your money. Even if Amazon sells, gives away or discontinues the Kindle programme, everything is gone. it doesn't stay on the Kindle either. It's creepy anyway that Amazon knows what I read and when and how much! This happened to me, by the way, with Audible (audiobook provider) (which is now also part of Amazon). I got an email that I had stopped listening to audiobook xy for so and so long. Why and whether I would like another one. I think the tree is hitting me. It makes you feel like Mum Amazon is standing behind you looking at what you're reading. IT'S REALLY CREEPY! Generally speaking, Tolino has no access to my reader here. I can also download everything (e.g. with CALIBRE) and save it and load it somewhere else. (Note the same DRM - important). Let's see where the whole thing leads. . Sometimes it's worth reading the terms and conditions, even if you have the feeling you're reading something the length of War and Peace ....

    Extend filter by operating system

Could you expand the filter criteria for eBook readers to include the operating system? Some of the readers have a closed, proprietary operating system like Kindle, others rely on Android. In order not to be tied to an eco-system, free Android devices make perfect sense. Feel free to include the version as well.
