Is this compatible with Mac Air devices?

Yes, the HD is MAC compatible. You have to format it via the hard disk utility, usually as "OS X Extended (Journaled)". Then it has the file format for MACs and every MAC can read and write to it. If it is formatted for Windows (it is by default), the MAC can only read it, but not write to it. Greetings Climb007

Yes, once you have formatted it, it can be used on any current Mac, the description also points out the need for formatting.
In principle, any ext. hard disk can be used on a Mac as soon as it has been formatted by a Mac. Whether Mac Air, Macbook, Mac Mini, etc. is irrelevant, it only has to be formatted in a Mac-readable system. Greetings schweppes100
