Device itself is well positioned for a high end home network( or small business) as it can support up to 4 separate networks eliminating the need for most users to buy separate switches.
Basic setup was fine for a technically strong user but would be a bit more challenging for someone who does not have a experience with network devices as the process to establish the initial configuration (updated firmware, initial add-on config) is not super intuitive. Not really complicated but takes an hour.
After the basic setup, the management interface was well balanced for both easy users as well as advanced users. Zyxel's add-on service licensing is not really needed for private users, certainly not for the price charged.
