Good idea, useless implementation
Relatively much memory, but slower than any USB stick and vulnerable. Better to sell the old MacBook Air second-hand and get another one with more internal memory. This one works much less problematically and is exactly 14x faster.

- Only memory expansion option for some MacBook Air models
- Fits practically invisibly into the housing

- Poor transfer rate (22MB/s write, 45MB/s read)
- Poor IO performance
- Problems with hibernation under certain circumstances (volume is ejected)
- Kernel panics under certain versions of OS X
