Top as a work mouse.
Since I often had wrist pain at work, I switched to the M570 to test how it feels. I work professionally all day on the PC with CAD. The mouse is very precise after a short period of getting used to it and all work can be done as with a normal mouse. The additional keys are super as a replacement for "Enter" and "Esc". The wrist is nicely relaxed. The only negative point is that the 3 bearing balls of the trackball get dirty quite quickly and the ball then no longer "rolls" nicely. But cleaning is a matter of seconds. Ball out quickly run over it with a handkerchief ball purely ready.
Definite buy recommendation from my side.
The best trackball there is. I wouldn't work with anything else. Unfortunately, since the M570 model, the buttons are quite bad, I have to buy a new one regularly. But at the end of the day, I'm glad that Logitech still makes it at all, it must be quite a niche product ... :)

After many years not being a trackball user I am now back to using one.
I came back to using one due to repeative wrist ache using a conventional mouse.
I can agree with some comments here about the wonder why the device is now wireless. I see one major advantage and that is the use of the unifying dongle.
I actually have 2 mice on my desk. the M570 for me and a Performance MX for all other people who use my workstation and are not used to trackball mice. In addition to this I also have the solar K750 keybaord. This means that only one USB slot is taken up for 3 devices.
Overall now after 3 months back to trackball use my wrist ache is gone and my work flow is alot better.
A good addtion for a unifying device to my setup.

As usual from Logitech, perfectly manufactured and unbeatable in ergonomics. There is simply no other all-round trackball that lies so comfortably in the hand. This is particularly helpful when working (or playing) for longer periods, which you can forget about with conventional mice thanks to fatigue.
Of course, as a newcomer you need a certain training period, but this is really only in the range of hours. After that, a thumb trackball is both faster and more precise, and you can't really "downgrade" to a mouse any more. Quite frankly, the computer mouse is an outdated principle full of flaws, and probably one of the dumbest inventions in all of computer history. The fear of switching, which as I said is completely unfounded, is probably the only reason why these unspeakably stupid sliding mice still find buyers at all.
Unfortunately, they do so like never before, and that is why the trackball ekes out a niche existence. This is probably why Logitech has decided to continue with only one line, the wireless line. It should be clear to everyone that this was the wrong decision. The only advantage of wireless is that it is easier to move the device. But: one of the many advantages of a trackball is that it doesn't have to be moved. So for absolutely no advantage, you have to deal with battery consumption, longer reaction time, and in the best case, interference problems with the wireless signal. So the trackball becomes twice as expensive and half as good/reliable.
For that, I would actually have to deduct at least one star. So why five stars anyway? Because the M570 is simply the only usable all-round pointing device on the market worldwide at the moment. Everyone owes it to themselves to at least give this device a chance. And everyone owes it to Logitech to make themselves heard (e.g. in their forums) and demand that the more convincing wired version be reintroduced.
I have been using the predecessor of Trackball for over a year and ers is by far the best pointing device I have had the pleasure of using in my 30 years of PC use!
The ball rotates absolutely without resistance, the pointer can be moved to the target with 100% precision with a single movement of the thumb!
Even an 8-hour day at the PC is completely relaxed.
Problem-free installation and ideally suited for mobile use!
This is my first trackball mouse.
When I used the mouse for the first time, it took about 2 hours before I could use the cursor accurately. Once you get used to the controls, you can indeed work very precisely and quickly. However, after 4 hours I felt my thumb strongly. But even this adjustment is bearable.
My conclusion after over 50 hours of working with the trackball:
+ very relaxed working is possible (ergonomic)
+ outstanding precision - even with fast movements a high "accuracy of aim
+ Wireless, which allows me to quickly move the trackball to the side when I need more space. Nevertheless, according to the manufacturer, one AA battery should last for up to 18 months of operation.
+ The mouse has an "on/off" switch, which I unfortunately miss with many mice.
+ Very good workmanship!
Once you get used to using the mouse and your thumb follows the new movements, you can work much more relaxed and precisely!
