The Batman is a triumph – a masterpiece!
by Luca Fontana

Just in time for CinemaCon in Las Vegas, film studio Warner Bros. announces what many movie fans have been waiting for: The Batman sequel.
The announcement comes as little surprise. After all, "The Batman," which hit theaters at the beginning of March this year, took critics and viewers by storm and, with a worldwide box office of $759 million, is the most successful film of the year so far.
Earlier, Matt Reeves opened the event by thanking theater operators for keeping the "spark of hope" alive when the pandemic hit hardest: "The success of 'The Batman' would not have been possible without theatrical release. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Also under Reeves' direction, a "Catwoman" series starring Zoë Kravitz is said to have been in the works since February 2021. On top of that, there's another horror-heavy series that aims to deal with the dark world within the walls of Arkham Asylum.
And if that's still not enough for you, here's the Batmobile and Dominik's journey - "deep down the rabbit hole," as he used to say:
I write about technology as if it were cinema, and about films as if they were real life. Between bits and blockbusters, I’m after stories that move people, not just generate clicks. And yes – sometimes I listen to film scores louder than I probably should.
From the latest iPhone to the return of 80s fashion. The editorial team will help you make sense of it all.
Show all"Vengeance," as Batman is known in his own film universe, is returning. This was announced by film studio Warner Bros. and comic giant DC at the CinemaCon currently taking place in Las Vegas, the world's largest trade show for cinema operators. While Matt Reeves will once again direct, actor Robert Pattinson will also don the cape of the Dark Avenger in the sequel.

Fans of the Batman can rejoice: "The Batman" sequel is not the only thing Warner Bros. is planning for the Robert Pattinson Batman. In fact, the spin-off project "The Penguin" starring Colin Farrell is said to be very advanced. Officially announced in December 2021, the HBO series will feature Reeves, who will also serve as executive producer, comparing it to "Scarface," which is about the rise of a character we all know will later achieve near-mythical status.
