Keyboard modding: first terrible, then... less terrible

There are mechanical keyboards that, frankly, sound appalling. Can this be improved? I gave it a go with the Corsair K65 RGB Mini.

A few weeks ago, I reviewed the Corsair K65 RGB Mini. My verdict? The switches scratch, the stabilisers rattle and the device reverberates louder than any church hall. I was wondering if I could make them sound and feel better.

I grab a desoldering station, a brush and some packaging foam and get to work. Wondering how I tried to improve the keyboard and if I succeeded? Check out the video above to find out. Activate English subtitles by clicking on Settings>Subtitles>Auto-translate>English in the bottom right corner of the video.

By the way, we’re raffling off the modded keyboard. To be in for a chance to win it, click on «Participate» below before 18 June 2021. We’ll inform the winner. Good luck!
