There’s no doubt that the Digitec and Galaxus Community is active and engaged. And its impact is visible everywhere – from product reviews, to questions, to magazine articles, to discussions. To make it even better, we need your help.

Communities are playing an increasingly signifcant role in the digital world. Wherever people are in search of knowledge, being part of a community is hugely beneficial.

On Digitec and Galaxus, you, the user, have the opportunity to ask questions about products, start discussions on topics important to you, comment on magazine articles and rate products. Today, we’ll show you how much our Community has grown and how actively you’ve all been exchanging ideas and supporting each other. Finally, we’d like to ask for your help in making it even better.

Product-related questions

In the last twelve months, the Community asked around 94,000 product-related questions. As many as 62 per cent of these were answered by other Community members. This means people with questions were able to benefit from real-life user experiences about two-thirds of the time. Great stuff!

Discussions

Our discussion platform offers users the opportunity to raise any topic they like. Alternatively, they can chip into existing conversations to give their two cents.

The stats say there are 5,500 Community discussions per month on average, with four fifths of those on digitec.ch! A sizeable number of those can be traced back to our community of PC builders.

Magazine articles

Every day, we publish interesting articles penned by our editorial team, who’re experts in the topics they write about. The comment section is always open, allowing you to actively contribute to discussions on news, background information and product tests. On average, the Community comments on magazine articles 4,200 times a month.

Product ratings

Your ratings are an essential part of our online shop. Not only that, but they’re also the basis for many of our commercials and ad campaigns. Thanks to these honest ratings, you as a customer can read about the experiences of other users so you can find the product that’s perfect for you. Last year, as many as 1.5 million product reviews were submitted – that’s one every 20 seconds.

Stronger together

The stats mentioned above speak for themselves. We’re happy and grateful to have a lively, ever-growing Community, which actively exchanges ideas. We really appreciate your input and opinions.

Wherever people of differing opinions come together, there’s potential for disagreements. In situations like these, mutual respect is all the more important. There are clear Community guidelines that we all adhere to – guidelines that help us have constructive, positive interactions with each other.

We know we’re not perfect. Mutual growth requires respect, understanding on both sides and space for a civilised dialogue. Insults or discrimination won’t be tolerated on our platform – after all, we’re all human at the end of the day. We want to create a positive and constructive atmosphere. For all of you.

We’re keen to hear your constructive feedback so that we can make our platform even better in the future. What do you like about the Community? What aren’t you a fan of? How can we make your experience even better?

Feel free to send us your requests, concerns and suggestions in the comments. You can also contact us at community@digitecgalaxus.ch.
