One click is all it takes to tweak your newsletter to better suit your interests. You’ll find this new feature at the end of every article.

Every month, around 300 articles are published in the German digitec and Galaxus magazine. Our translations team strives to translate as many of them as possible into English, French and Italian. Some of the articles are about new products, others feature special offers. And roughly 150 are penned by our editors at Digitec Galaxus. Every day, our team of in-house writers churns out news, background information pieces, product reviews and tutorials. On top of that, they produce podcasts and videos. With all that choice, it’s easy to miss something you might have been interested in. This is a risk we can’t and won’t take.

There’s always been a «Follow author» button at the end of every article, ready to be clicked if you liked the author’s style or enjoyed the topic. But maybe you would like to follow more than one author or read about a certain topic but from another author’s perspective. With this in mind, we’ve updated our «Follow topic» function, which was well hidden in the past. And when we say well hidden, we mean well hidden. If you’re already a topic follower, you’re definitely an advanced user of our magazine. In other words, you’ve delved in deep enough to find this hidden feature.

How to follow topics

In addition to the «Follow author» function, you’ll now also find the «Follow topic» button at the end of each article. Activate it with one click or at the touch of a smartphone screen. There’s only one requirement. You need to be logged in to your account.

Whenever a new article is published on a topic you follow, we’ll add it to the newsletter we regularly send you in the afternoon.

Once tucked away, the «Follow topic» feature has come out of the shadows.

By the way, if you wish to edit the topics or authors you follow, you can do this in your user account.

What’s next?

We know this feature can be built on and already have a few ideas for future developments. For instance, we’ll soon be adding more topics you can follow. Let us know what you think!
Do you have any requests or suggestions regarding our «Follow topic» feature? Feel free to drop us a comment below.

P.S.: Ironically, you won’t find a topic to follow at the end of this article. How come? Because I haven’t come up with a term that sums up news about the navigation and features in our shops. Any ideas? Thanks for sharing!
