digitec Podcast Episode 94: Bye Dominik, Steam Deck tried out, Elon Musk buys Twitter
We remember our friend and colleague Dominik. Because he, too, could never sit still, we keep podcasting. He would have wanted it that way.
Dominik Bärlocher, our longtime friend and colleague, has died. Together we remember how he could inspire us, surprise us and also annoy us terribly. He would surely say to us: "Listen to his voice", so we look forward and continue to do our work.
I was finally able to try out the Steam Deck thanks to colleague Dominique von Wartburg. He generously lent me his. Courageous, because I would prefer to keep it. Kevin Hofer is also convinced by the two new Sennheiser True Wireless in-ear headphones, which he tests for us.
After that, we talk about Elon Musk's Twitter takeover, which may not happen after all. Also uncertain is an alleged decision by the EU: they want to force Apple to allow third-party browser engines. Google is also in the news with the Pixel Watch. It has been leaked and is to be officially unveiled soon. Quite straightforwardly, you can have the new Android 13 beta and that's what I did. Finally, Luca tells us what movies were announced at CinemaCon.
I went to see "Ride the Eagle." A coherent and humorous story about a mother who leaves her picturesque forest cabin to her son only if he performs special tasks. "Le sommet des dieux" is also set in nature. The animated film revolves around the possible first ascent of Mount Everest.
As a game tip, we have the short but extremely entertaining free game "Aperture Desk Job". After that, we talk about "Vampire Survivors", which is predestined for the Steam Deck. Finally, we have a preview of the sniper fest "Sniper Elite 5".
