digitec connect mobile subscription now with MultiSIM option

digitec connect has launched Switzerland’s most affordable MultiSIM option. For just 5 francs a month, customers can use additional devices with their existing mobile subscription – from smartwatch to tablet to router. The offer is free for a full year for the first additional SIM or eSIM.

Until now, making a call or streaming music with your smartwatch required a mobile phone. And using your laptop to surf the net during your commute was usually only possible with a hotspot. But thanks to MultiSIM, those inconveniences are a thing of the past. With additional SIM cards or eSIM, customers can now use the data volume of a mobile subscription and their own mobile number to make calls and surf the Internet with other devices.

digitec connect is the third mobile subscription provider after Swisscom and Sunrise to launch this option in Switzerland – and does so at a particularly attractive price. For just 5 francs a month for each additional SIM, new and existing customers can benefit from this offer without having to pay any activation costs. «We strive to give customers access to the latest technological advances as quickly as possible,» says Andreas Kundert, Head of Business Development at Digitec Galaxus. «That’s why we drove forward our MultiSIM offer at a fast pace.» For the first SIM or eSIM that’s added, the offer is free of charge for the first year.

Perfect for your back-up mobile

MultiSIM is particularly well suited for smartwatches with 4G function. This is because having a designated SIM means all functions can be used without needing a constant connection to a mobile phone. So, listening to music while jogging, checking messages or making calls is no longer a problem. Of the Samsung and Apple smartwatches sold by digitec and Galaxus, one in four features 4G technology. By the end of the year, it’s expected that one in three models will feature it.

MultiSIM is not only suitable for mobiles and laptops but also for tablets, secondary mobiles or for a mobile hotspot. In other words, MultiSIM covers all needs.
